President of the Arab Council for Academics and Competencies
Prof. Dr. Saad Abdel-Qahar Al-Sheikh
Professor of Economics and President of the Arab Council for Academics and Competencies, as well as Head of the Executive Office. He holds a Postdoctoral degree in Economics (2016), a PhD in Economics (1983), and the title of Professor from Al-Mustansiriya University (1993).
He has held numerous academic and administrative positions, including:
Head of the Syrian International University Branch for Engineering, Business Administration, and Law Colleges
Dean of the College of Business Administration
Advisor to the University Presidency
Head of the Economics Department at Al-Mustansiriya University
Senior Professor at Al-Bakr University
He has also taught Economics at Al-Mustansiriya University, Syrian International University, University of Anbar, University of Aden, and universities in Kurdistan.
Currently, he serves as President of the Arab Council for Academics and Competencies and previously held the position of Secretary-General of the International Union of Arab Academics. He is a member of the International Institute of Education (IIE) and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Afro-Asian Universities Union.
In the private sector, he holds managerial roles including General Manager of M.G. Group of Companies and General Manager of the International Center for Finance and Trade.
He has supervised 13 PhD dissertations and 16 Master’s theses, authored four methodological books, and published 34 research papers.
